Random photo day...

This little bag.... ....was shipped to me in this big box.
All that was in the bag was a tube of mascara and a lipstick pencil thingy. I'm not sure the scale comes through properly here, but rest assured the box was far bigger than necessary. Hi, wasteful much? I love you, Sephora, but surely you have smaller shipping boxes?
This is me, before hula class. Note the smoothness of the bangs. (And no, I didn't cut all my hair off. It's up, to mitigate some of the sweating.)

This is me after. Shiny! I did manage to wipe away the sweaty streaks of mascara from my browbone before I snapped the photo. Oh, yeah... this was after I fell on the stairs, too. I've been trying to take a decent picture of the angry bruise on my leg, but they're too horrifying to post.
Me, "normal." Which is to say, blurry! Funny how these pictures look so much better on the viewfinder than they do once I upload them...

Happy Shiny (and Pretty) Terry!

I can NEVER understand women who work out with their hair hanging down. Ick! As if you weren't sweating enough from all the exertion, to have that blanket of hair on your neck?

Why are you ordering from Sephora online? Is there no store in the Embarcadero (yay, finally spelled that right on the 5th try) that you can visit for makeup goodies?

Terry! I love you dearly but must admit that I still envy your eyes and would likely skewer them from your beautiful face if I thought I could get away with such a crime.

BTW, super pics! I wish my hair was long enough to put up when I work out. Ugh!

savage, you're too sweet. thank you.

jmai, that's exactly how i feel about the hair! but i also realize that not everyone sweats to the degree that i do.

one of my hula sisters once made the comment that she was sweating more than anyone else in class, and i had to point out how wrong she was.

sephora. yes, we have a sephora in town, but there was stuff i needed quickly and knew i wouldn't have time to get over there before i really needed to.

buddhagirl, that's so sweet. in a really sick way. ;)

hey, if your hair's shorter, then you don't NEED to put it up when you work out.

reg, thank you! y'all are so good for my ego.

I once ordered a magazine subscription to support Izzybee's school. They charged me "shipping and handling" which confused me until I received a large envelope via fed ex. Inside were 2 pieces of cardboard and in the middle, the invoice for the subscription.

by the way, I never got my subscription. Ever.

by the way, i would NEVER post post exercise pics. You actually look post hula refreshed!

Okay--why are the two 'normal' pictures not properly colorbalanced, but the post-hula one is? Or is that normal, healthy glow to your skin something that we don't normally see?

LM, that's CLASSIC! what was the magazine you never got?

pirate, i'm confused about the coloring, too....as all three shots were taken in the exact same spot with the same camera settings. one -- the post hula shot -- was taken much later at night than the other two, but it's not like it was light out for the other shots.

and yeah...i'm pretty damned pale. i mean fair-skinned.

I don't sweat to the degree other people do. Sometimes I wear my hair down, especially on the treadmill as there is no risk of it getting in the way of anything. But the thing is I have so much hair and it is so long that sometimes putting it up hurts more. Does that make sense?

Anyway...love love love Sephora... even it must be said that the prices charged for the small packages of make-up and other goodies is just ungodly.

And talk about waste of packing material! Hello? Maybe the mascara got into their brains.
