Figures...

It is the holiday season, after all.

Yup. I'm sick. After several fake-outs in recent weeks, it's finally hit me. Feels like the usual holiday bronchitis, albeit on the mild side.

SO FAR.

(Here's hoping the coming months don't see a repeat of last winter/spring, when I had three terrible bouts of respiratory crud in four months. Good times.)

I will say I'm thankful it waited until AFTER my Thanksgiving trip to hit me hard, though I was feeling kinda dry and scratchy and sneezy while I was in Diego (as a college dormmate used to call it). And I'm thankful it waited until AFTER last night's (fab, natch) Barenaked Ladies show to really fuck with me (though I did cough up a big phlegm ball just before we went to our seats. Isn't that a nice image??). And that it's hitting me BEFORE my big Christmas trip to New York.

So I can't complain too much. But you know I will...

As for my trip, it was grand. I'll share more details later, as I'm sleepy AND all doped up on over-the-counter medication right now. And I'll be catching up with all of you...

i went to get acupuncture treatments last week and the woman...asked me about other stuff going on with me and we ended up talking about how i ALWAYS have stuff going on in my chest this time each year. huh. who knew. lung central."
